Your account

You need an account to use Metrum. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old, use one account per person, and give accurate information when you sign up.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app.

Objectionable content and abuse

Metrum has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You may not post harassment, hate speech, sexual content, violence or threats, or spam, and you may not impersonate anyone. This applies to everything you write in Metrum: group, study-plan, area and topic names, your username and display name, profile photos, and the text you send in reports.

In the iPhone app, tap the ••• menu on any person or group to report or block them. We review every report within 24 hours and remove the content or the account when it breaks these rules. Anyone you block disappears from rankings, feeds and study rooms, and can be unblocked later in Profile → Privacy. We also filter offensive terms automatically.

Accounts that break these rules may be suspended or terminated, without notice in serious cases.

Subscriptions and billing

Metrum has a free plan and a paid plan, Metrum Pro. The free plan is limited; Pro removes those limits.

Metrum Pro is offered as a monthly or an annual auto-renewing subscription. Prices are shown in the app and on this site before you buy, in your local currency.

On iPhone, payment is charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone Settings, under your Apple Account.

On the web, payment is processed by Stripe and renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel from your account settings.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it through the App Store, or through your account settings on the web.

Refunds

Purchases made on iPhone are handled by Apple, and refunds are requested from Apple directly. For purchases made on the web, contact us and we will help.

Acceptable use

Do not use Metrum to break the law, or to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service.

You keep ownership of the study content you create. You grant us only the permission needed to store it and show it back to you and, where you choose to share it, to your study group.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Metrum running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Metrum is provided as-is.

Metrum is a planning tool. It does not guarantee any particular exam result.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
